Kerching!

Greg spends Sunday scrubbing the decks while I'm below unpacking and cleaning.  Greg is already in his budgies (photo coming soon Kym) as it's pretty hot and the forecast is looking good for the week ahead.  You can't imagine the amount of spider pooh all over the deck.  A few frogs have also set up home in the cockpit.  And the first Nespresso coffee goes down real well just like home.

I eventually get international roaming set up on my phone as I forget to activate it before I left as we have really good WiFi at the cafe at the marina.

We finish our work by 1pm in readiness to watch the F1 at the Sunset Cafe.  Greg's back is red hot so a good start to his suntan.

We have a four hour siesta after the race and head into town around 8.30pm.  We start with a few laid back Ouzos and yummy snacks for feta, olives, cold meats and cheese. It's then off to one of our favouite grill houses for some salad and chicken souvlaki, it's delicious.  We stagger home around midnight.

We sleep well to about 5am, guess the jet lag is playing tricks on us.  After a few coffees we are  back to scrubbing the decks; we have nearly finished.  Next on the to do list is to move Moet22 into a pen and get out of the way of the crane guys who are hauling the yachts in and out of the water.  We are beside one of our friends we meet a few times last year, Willy and his wife from Belgium.

Around 9 we visit the marina office to hand over the rest of the money for the work they have supposedly done while we were away.  We are not really happy as one of the toilettes still leaks and the throttle cable is still loose.  Anyway they send the mechanic around to sort it out for us.

We need a repair done to our sail bag and Willy offers to take us to a good upholstery shop in town so that's  a great help, it costs 20Euro for the repair which is cheap and will be finished by 3pm today.

Our last major chore is to visit Customs and the Post Police and pick up our transit log.  We are a bit nervous as we are hoping to escape the tax of 1,000 Euros we might have to pay.  Thank god for the Greek Govt as they are still undecided about the changes to the taxes for non EU registered yachts.  All we have to pay is 15 Euros for the new transit log, we are sooo excited as now I can spent the extra cash on Moet! Well some of it at least.

Back at the marina we have a delicious lunch and we celebrate our win with a bottle of Moet of course.  We visit the chandler and purchase some fender covers and other bits and pieces.  We still have a few things to do to the yacht before we ahead out tomorrow morning but we are on track.
