Last night in Turkey

After a quite night in Tomb Bay we depart around 8.30am.  I take one for the team and swim ashore to release the lines, all good.  The water is very refreshing at 25 degrees.  Its a very lovely anchorage and we wave goodbye to our French neighbours.  They told us that their yacht is their home and they have been travelling at sea for seven years.  How awesome is that!

It's a very short trip over to Kapi Creek so we sail a little and practice our ManOverboard  routine.  Greg passes me. Yippee!

We get a great posse at the wharf just next to the restaurant and hoping great Wi- Fi.   We soon realise that expecting to live stream the SOO was a silly idea.  It takes us about three hours to work out this is not going to happen.  The Wi-Fi in this remote little cove is based on a mobile phone connection and apparently the monthly usage has already been used up.  Bugger!

While we are having a  coffee the Coast Guard boat pulls in with too many officials on board for our liking.  Basically we are illegal immigrants in Turkey.  Greg is sweating it big time because if they ask us for our papers we are in trouble as we checked out of Turkey yesterday.  So we drop off our things at the yacht and go for a walk so they can't ask us questions.  One of the young boys is taking notes of the yacht names.  While we wander around with the goats and ancient ruins Greg steps on a ancient rusty nail, god knows how old it is and thank god we had a tetanus shot before we left.  He will live!

The Coast Guard boat soon leaves and we find out from the staff that they are officials from the Dept. of Health, checking the kitchen and toilets, what a relief!  Meanwhile the fishing boat arrives and they deliver the biggest lobster we have ever seen.  We ask how much for dinner and soon after they quote us an amount for the 1.5 kilo  lobster and a set menu, sounds reasonable so we book out the lobster for us for dinner, yum!
Direct from the fisherman to the holding tank.

Meanwhile we are pissed off that we can not gain access to Wi-Fi and our only chance is to try Tune In Radio, which by half time we can get access to and listen to the second half on 2GB.  I'm lovin it as the Blues are winning.  It's definetely better than nothing at all and the commentary is quite fun.  Finally a first game win to the Blues and I win a bottle of Moët!

After a refreshing swim and siesta  its off to dinner, we can hardly wait.

From the holding tank to the kitchen.

To our table.  The most succulent and well cooked lobster we have ever eaten and the biggest!  We have a great meal and a little laugh with the  staff.  We retire early for bed due to our early start tomorrow heading over to Rhodos.
