Rhodos here we come!

As the sun rises of Gocek we kiss goodbye to windy Turkey.

We both have a crappy sleep and depart Kapi Creek just before 6am.  So far the weather  outlook is calm and a little breeze behind us for once.  It's a pleasant trip over to Rhodes and we make good time arriving just before midday.

Of course we have to have the flag raising ceremony.

Just out of Greece we see a large dark shadow in the water in front of the yacht , initially I think it's the clouds over the sea , Greg thinks it's a very large school of fish, then we realise its most likely a submerged submarine.  Apparently they are in the area and our charts tell us to look out for them.  As we did think it's a school of fish we head straight for it as we have the  lure out then went OMG, lets leave that one alone.  It disappears into the depths of the ocean pretty quickly.

Greg has booked ahead for our berth at the Mandraki Harbour as it gets very busy with Gulets and other commercial boats.  We also pay for an agent to organise all our paperwork, this saves us the hassle of dealing with the Greek administration.  We have the perfect position on the wharf and this is our backyard view for the next four nights.  There are castles in every direction that we look.
