Hvar to Vis

We have a great night’s sleep and I manage to access the WI-FI and upload some photos before we head off.  Our heading today is 222 SE to Vis.  Again we are looking for the perfect hideaway.  The forecast is for NE light winds, however we are not sure what to expect as they have been wrong just about every day, just like the weather forecasts back home.
It’s pretty smooth motoring to our destination and wow I think we might have found a great spot for a few nights.  Its south of the island so hopefully protected and called U Ruda.  We are one of three boats in the bay at the moment, I wonder for how long?  We drop anchor and tie our stern rope to a large tree for security.  There are already lots of nudist's sunbaking on the rocky cliffs, enjoying the sun and beautiful water.
how blue?

tricky business

We go snorkelling and swimming all afternoon and enjoy some sunbaking on deck.  I have to mention that the mini fenders that Angelo gave us are coming in very useful.  They make great fenders for our tender, I use them as a floatation device when swimming and they are comfy as a head rest for when sleeping in the cockpit lounge.
Quite a few more yachts approach and anchor for the night.
As we don’t really like our new decal so Greg removes it and replaces it with a temporary one.  We will get a new one made up for next year.  I make our first pasta dish for dinner, it’s quite delicious and we enjoy it under the stars.

Day 2 at U Ruda
We are woken to spits of rain on our face coming through the hatch.  It rains lightly for a few hours and there is thunder in the distance but we stay in bed and arise when the sun finally appears at about 10am.  Greg makes yummy scrambles eggs with chilli salami, tomato, and mortadella  for breakfast.  We then go ashore for a walk to the next village to take a look around.  It’s a 30 mins walk over the rocks and a dirt road into the next village called Srebrna.  There are no shops just a Restaurant called Konoba Dalmatian and their speciality looks like lobster; shame we did not bring much money with us.  We take a look around the water and decide to have some early lunch of grilled fish and veggies, it's delicious and very fresh.  The outlook is beautiful.
After the bora the other day we can certainly feel a change in the temperature.  The heat wave is over and we are experiencing temperatures in the high 20’s each day which is great.  Even at night there is a chill in the air which makes sleeping bearable.
Back on the yacht we continue to work on our tans and swim around the bay.  The water is a refreshing 25-26 degrees.  I also enjoy a bottle of Moet in the afternoon.  Dinner is made up of whatever we have left fresh, it’s not much but now we are ready to stock up again.
We have a very unpleasant night as the swell and wind comes into the bay rocking us sideways, totally opposite to what the forecast predicted, it’s very uncomfortable and we are also concerned about the anchor dragging.  We stay on watch most of the night and get very little sleep.  At first light we prepare to take off.  Unfortunately that means Greg going ashore to release the sterns lines.  We do this without any incident and commence our journey to Brna on the South coast of Korcula.
