The arrival

Arrived safely to Marina Kremik on time.  We are especially pleased with the flights as we had to take three connecting flights to get here.  We would probably not fly Turkish airways again as we could not get a drink of water in between the meal services on an 11 hour flight.  We picked up our Hertz rent a car from Split airport which we are to return to Split city in a few days.  I'm sure a car will come in very handy.

It's hot hot hot, it's hard to acclimatise from Sydney weather of 10 degrees.  Everyday here is a min of 36.  First stop is the Marina Kremik office to let them know we are here and we grab some lunch at the Kremik Restaron.  We can hardly believe we have finally made it!

So we head off to the yacht very very excited to see her again.  Still in the same berth as last year when we were here.  Elsea is in great condition.

Leo has delivered all our luggage and boxes that we sent over, so we have a lot of unpacking to do, but it will be fun.  Ivan our mechanic also drops by to say hi and introduce himself, he will call by on Monday for a full briefing of the boat and work that has been carried out.  He did install a 2000 watt invertor so we can run electrical appliances like our Nespresso machine, hair dryer, toaster and other goodies.

Just a little unpacking to do!

I don't know what I was thinking when I packed all these wet weather clothes, as I can't ever imagine wearing them here.  As we have plenty of storage room we stowed all this stuff away.

We are really lucky as there has been loads of linen left on board which will come in handy for our visitors next year plus I won't have to wash for a while this trip.

I’m so clumsy though.  It doesn’t take long for me to start hitting my head on all the new bits of the yacht, as it’s a very different set up to the Catalina.  As soon as we get settled we put up the Bimini which is really big and will give us protection from the sun.  It's this frame that keeps getting in the way of my head.  I’m a quick learner though and by Monday I'll know when to duck.
Greg can't wait to get the first decal on the yacht so he sticks the Moet22 number plate to the transom.  It looks great!
As we are pretty buggered we have a bite to eat at the marina restaron.  There is a man playing a guitar and he is singing ‘Burning ring of fire’.  Although I’m singing along, it’s not quite the music I was excepting to hear in Croatia.  We have to pinch each other (which Greg likes) to keep reminding ourselves that this experience is real.
We stay awake for as long as we can on the first night before getting some shut eye.  Actually we both have a great sleep thanks to some help.  Considering the marina is so busy it's pretty quiet for a Saturday night.
It's too slow to upload photos right now but will do soon.  A big SORRY to Craig for accidentally dialling him at 1am the other morning.
