Dust storm

The Port Bodrum Yalikavak Marina is under construction and when it's finished it will be amazing.  Unfortunately  right now its a dirty dusty construction site with very limited amenities plus they are charging top price to be here.  It does have one of the largest collections of super yachts, mostly from the USA and they have nearly completed building the infinity pool and alfresco area.  Once it is completed it will be a world class marina with lots of top end retail, restaurants and a hotel plus a day spa.   Unfortunately all of the workers are foreign and behave like they have not seen females before; its very unpleasant.

We eventually head into town for lunch and find some Wi-Fi which has been very hit and miss in Turkey so far.  We have a lovely lite lunch and delicious white wine and then do some provisioning as we are hoping to find some protected anchorages for the next few days around Bodrum.  We head back to the yacht and have a deep sleep till 8pm; think all the restless nights have caught up on us.  We decide to have dinner at a close by restaurant, traditional mezzas and chicken and lamb shish kebabs, very delicious and plenty left over for lunch tomorrow.

After a good nights sleep Greg has to pysch himself up to jump in the cold water and cut off the net.  It's actually not fishing net but a heshion like bag; just good old rubbish caught in the prop.  Anyway we are lucky as it could have been a lot worse.

The winds seem to have died down and we should be heading out this afternoon to Gumbet a small anchorage to the West of Bodrum.  From here we can take a taxi into Bodrum town and look around.  We plan on staying two nights if the forecast doesn't change.
