Last night in Greece

We depart Ayios Kirkos by 7.30am.  It's still overcast but a little warmer in the harbour.  Once outside it turns cold and we put on our wet weather gear as its looks like its going to pour at some stage.  Greg also puts a lure into the water, but no luck.

We are heading North East between the Islands of Ikaria and Fournoi.  At the North tip of Fournoi we head South East  with Samos on our Port side.  Our final Greek destination is Pithagorion and tomorrow we will be officially departing Greece for Turkey.  The Island of Samos can be bearly seen as there is so much low hanging cloud, fog and haze.  We round up and begin our final stint, North East and we have dead calm.  Greg continues on with the polishing, but I'm afraid no budgies as yet, it's still too cold.  Hopefully once we get to Turkey.

Pithagorion was named after Pythagoras who was born on Samos Island and there are supposed to be some interesting engineering feats to look at from years gone by.  One of them being an underground tunnel running under the village.  Parts of it have collapsed but there a tours.

We arrive about midday and immediately decide to stay two nights as it looks like a nice village.  It's very well kept, the tavernas on the waterfront look like they have all new cushions, tables and chairs and are nicely painted.  We go stern to and drop our anchor right in front of Gregory's Bar.

After lunch we go for a walk and find the Port Police and find out what's involved in leaving Greece, apparently it's easy.
